Lynette Naidoo SC
After obtaining her BA and LLB degrees at the University of Natal (Durban), Lynette practised as an attorney and notary public at Shepstone & Wylie Attorneys and gained experience in general commercial litigation, labour, constitutional law, commercial and corporate law.
Lynette was called to the Bar in 2000 and took silk in 2024. Her main areas of practice are labour law with an emphasis on collective labour law in the private and public sector and restraints of trade disputes; administrative law (particularly in the municipal, tender and pension law space) and general commercial law. She has served on the Tax Appeal Board as well as on the Bar Council and its various sub-committees. Lynette has appeared on her own and as a junior in the Supreme Court of Appeal, Constitutional Court and Labour Appeal Court. She has also acted as a judge in the High Court and Labour Courts.
